Empowering Baltic connectivity

Independence means many things to us, including the ability to move freely. That is why air connectivity is so important. airBaltic connects the Baltic people with the rest of Europe, creating opportunities for leisure, cultural insights, and new life experiences. It is a bridge for businesses, fostering economic activity, investments and hence, tax revenues. The Baltic states are an integral part of Europe, but perhaps too far to easily drive to, sail to, or reach by rail. airBaltic helps to connect with its young and modern fleet.

Outstanding operational performance

The carrier’s ability to contribute to local development in all these ways also directly translates to strong financial results for airBaltic itself. In 2023, the company’s revenue reached EUR 668 million with a record profit of EUR 34 million. In the first half of 2024, airBaltic posted its strongest performance to date, with revenue of EUR 339 million and EUR 77 million in EBITDAR. EBITDAR (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, and restructuring or rent costs) is a key financial indicator of underlying operational performance and profitability.

In 2024, the company aims to carry over 5 million passengers on more than 70,000 flights. airBaltic plans to double its fleet to nearly 100 aircraft by 2030.

Shaping regional aviation's future

Today, airBaltic is widely known for its contribution to innovation, the development of skills, and its sustained commitment to diversity, inclusion, and sustainability, which are central to its growth strategy. Proud to be a recognised employer of choice in the Baltic region, airBaltic is also a hub of innovation and training, welcoming new cadets from across the region every year to its purpose-built, cutting-edge training facility in Riga and creating a new generation of global leaders in the aviation industry and pioneers from the Baltics’ best local talent.

The future is in connectivity with a unique business model

Two fundamental factors underpin the increasing demand in passenger traffic and airBaltic’s relative participation in its growing segment.

Not only does airBaltic’s unique business model combine the best of traditional flag-carriers with the benefits of low-cost carriers, the airline is securing its involvement in a growing market by offering new routes, bases, and services.

airBaltic remains committed to its core markets in the Baltics, where demand for air connectivity will continue to grow as the regional economies and local disposable income starts to catch up with the EU’s largest economies.

By operating one of the most modern fleets in the world, deploying the latest technology and implementing customer service innovation, airBaltic has secured market-leading levels of passenger satisfaction. This commitment to quality and customer experience underpins airBaltic’s growth story, as it repeatedly takes regional market share from major European competitors.

Potential IPO - a new and exciting journey

airBaltic will continue to connect places, people and businesses as an increasing number of people in the Baltic States choose to fly. To do so successfully, we are currently evaluating opportunities to attract new investors to support the next chapter of our Growth Story for years to come. Today, airBaltic has proved to be so much more than it was yesterday. And we are confident that tomorrow it will be even more than it is today.
